We have several ministries that serve our church family and the community. Please explore the several pages included under this tab to get a feel about what we are all about!
This group of compassionate Christians provides spiritual uplifting to persons in our congregation who are in need (emotionally or physically) by visiting them, taking a loaf of bread, a lap robe, pin, or a prayer bear. They send greeting cards and "we prayed for you" cards to remind those in need that they are always in our prayers.
This mission of this ministry is to serve families in the Stillwater area who are in need by supplementing their monthly groceries. The food provided is both nutritional and fresh. Personal items such as soaps, toothpaste, etc., are also provided.
The ministry also extends special help during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. For Thanksgiving they provide all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal to families to sign up for it. During Christmas, they help by providing toys and Christmas stockings for the children of their clients.
The pantry is open on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:00 a.m. and noon. For those that are unable to get to the pantry during the day, we have added an evening slot on Thursdays between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. The Food Pantry may be contacted directly by calling 664-1231. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you may easily do so by using PayPal: PayPal for Food Pantry
On the first Saturday of each month from October through June, we offer a free breakfast to the community between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. It is served buffet style and includes favorites such as sausage, bacon, pancakes, French toast bake, hash browns, home fries, eggs, sweet buns, juice, and coffee. Each month we also highlight and honor another group within our community: emergency services (fire departments, rescue squad, and police), veterans, local businesses, elected officials, school volunteers and employees, the community center, library, and The Block House, the DPW, and graduates. This is the perfect opportunity to start your weekend off with a healthy and filling meal while also enjoying fellowship with your family, friends, and neighbors.
Led by organist/choir director Jim Davies, the choir at Stillwater United is arguably one of the best in the area. From the Introit to the Benediction Response, this group of faith-filled singers sets the tone of the worship service.
This ministry is designed to provide clothing to those in need. While there is no price for items, a free-will offering is appreciated. Clothing is available in both children and adult sizes. If you would like to make a donation, you may contact the church office. Someone from this ministry will then return your call.
Ministry hours are Mondays and Thursdays 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and again 5 pm to 7 pm.
This groups offers a family-friendly Bingo night, which is normally scheduled on the first Saturday evening during the months October - April, beginning at 5:30 p.m. In addition they sponsor a school backpack giveaway. Backpacks include all the supplies that students need for their grade!
